ADCO Named a Columbia Green Business

10.02.09

Columbia City Council has recognized ADCO, a full service strategic marketing, creative design and interactive agency, as a City of Columbia Green Business.

Sponsored by the city's Climate Protection Action Committee, the Green Business program recognizes businesses that operate in an environmentally friendly manner and encourage other businesses to adopt green business practices. ADCO was formally recognized at the City Council meeting on Wednesday, August 19, 2009.  As a City of Columbia Green Business, ADCO employees have implemented a number of steps to increase recycling efforts, reduce waste and conserve energy.

"We have always made an effort to try to be a green company but have found some additional ways to reduce our company's carbon footprint," explained Brian Murrell, creative director and partner at ADCO. "We hope our efforts will encourage other local businesses to be more green. The simple changes we can make now will positively affect our community for generations to come."
